Thank you for visiting the Middleton Police Department website.  I hope you find this site informative as you navigate the various features including information such as how to register your bicycle, report a traffic complaint, view monthly activity reports or to provide a compliment for one of our staff members for a job well done.  As you peruse our site, I believe you will find a great deal of information about our department and about the City of Middleton.

The Middleton Police Department is comprised of 53 total employees which includes 39 sworn personnel.  The staff includes the Chief of Police, two Captains, eight Sergeants, four Detectives, two School Resource Officers, a Community Awareness Officer, a K9 Officer and twenty Patrol Officers.  Additionally the department has five full-time Dispatchers, one Communication Center Supervisor, two full-time Records Clerks, one Court Officer and one Office Manager.

The Department is housed in a newly constructed building which was built in 2010.  In addition to our beautiful and modern building, the Police Department contains a full-service 911 Communication Center which answered over 33,000 calls in 2018.  Additionally, the Police Department is one of only 36 Police Departments in the State of Wisconsin, and one of four in Dane County, to achieve the very coveted accreditation status by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG).

The Police Department is committed to our neighborhood-based community policing philosophy and building meaningful relationships with everyone in our community.  As shown by our commitment to our numerous community outreach programs, the Police Department will only be as successful as the strong partnerships in which we build with our citizens and our business community.  As our mission statement indicates – we are committed to making a positive difference in the quality of life in our community.

Thank you for visiting our Police Department site and please, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding the Police Department.  Together we can continue to make this an amazing community where everyone feels welcomed and safe.
