Common Council votes to approve resolution regarding airport master planning process
On August 6, the Middleton Common Council voted unanimously to approve a resolution that establishes parameters for drafting a master plan for the City-owned airport.
The resolution reiterates the City’s commitment to conduct a community survey after the master plan has been drafted but before it is adopted, and to hold a series of public hearings before the City makes a decision to proceed with any potential airport expansion project.
A headline displayed on the website of a Madison TV station is inaccurate and City of Middleton staff has contacted the station to request a correction.
The adopted resolution also expresses the City’s desire for the master plan to focus on potential airport improvements that do not significantly change the mix of small aircraft that currently use this general aviation facility.
