1908 Middleton St.: Variances from regulations pertaining to minimum side and rear setbacks, maximum lot coverage
Matthew Dieter Schaaf and Coral Graszer, property owners, request variances from regulations pertaining to minimum side and rear setbacks and maximum lot coverage for the purpose of replacing a carport and upper deck with an attached structure consisting of a 12’ x 22 ’ garage topped by a deck, with an 8’ high pergola above the western half of the deck. The structure would be set back no less than 1 ft. from the left side lot line and 8 ft. from the rear lot line, and the maximum lot coverage would not exceed 44%. Sections 10.30, 10.24, and 10.136(6) require a structure on this narrow, R2-zoned lot to have a minimum side setback of 6’4”, a minimum rear setback of 30 ft., and a maximum lot coverage of 35%.
