Last week, Governor Walker announced a State Disaster Declaration, so assistance for public infrastructure will be forthcoming from the State of Wisconsin. However, Federal assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) is not a certainty. Although the Small Business Administration (SBA) will likely have loans available for affected businesses due to their annual budget allocation, other federal assistance for individuals and businesses would need to have a FEMA determination and Presidential disaster declaration. Patience is needed.
