Middleton Joins Madison Region in Celebrating Bike Week
A Bicycle Commuter Station and Ride with Community Leaders will be part of this week’s annual Wisconsin Bike Week celebration in Middleton.
With the support of several local businesses and the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District, city officials are delighted that—for the first time—Middleton’s Bike Commuter Station will be operating each weekday between 6:30 and 8:30 a.m. at the corner of Old Middleton Rd. and Stonefield Rd. Whether commuting to work in Middleton or Madison, bicyclists are invited to stop by the station for refreshments and bicycling information.
City officials would like to thank each of the local sponsors for helping to make the commuter station possible:
* Monday, June 4 -- Sustainable Engineering Group
* Tuesday, June 5 -- Seventhwave
* Wednesday, June 6 -- Clark Street Community School (MCPASD)
* Thursday, June 7 -- Mead & Hunt
* Friday, June 8 -- Middleton’s Sustainability Committee and Pedestrian/Bicycle/Transit Committee
Also on Thursday, June 7, at 7:00 p.m., join Middleton city and school district officials on a 8-to-10-mile ride (starting from the Bauman Aquatic Center by the high school) featuring recent investments in bicycle routes and amenities, and learn about future plans and opportunities. Kids are particularly welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult. For more info, contact email@example.com
