NEW NEWS!

  • Youth Center Program Model Survey: The Middleton Youth Center is considering transitioning to a more structured, case-management program model starting in the fall of 2018. This model is already being used by the Goodman Community Center's teen program with success. This new model would be a significant change to how the Youth Center is currently run, so we want to know what YOU think about this idea. To learn more about the new program model and to share your thoughts and ideas with Youth Center staff, please complete this short survey! The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete.

  • CANStruction Build Day Field Trip! Monday, 4/23  2:05-6pm Any Youth Center students who have participating in the CANStruction Team are invited to help build our final sculpture at West Towne Mall!
    • The bus will pick students up from Kromrey (main entrance) at 2:05pm and will return students to the Youth Center at 6pm. Snack and adult supervision will be provided.
    • Parents: You must call Kromrey to excuse your student from the last two hours of the school day. Tell the attendance staff that your student is participating in CANstruction, and they will code it as a School Related activity.
    • Final sculptures can be viewed and voted on by the public from Tuesday, April 24th-Sunday, April 29th.

  • Parents and caretakers, please make sure that your student is aware of the Youth Center's expectations. A reminder of a few that have been overlooked recently:

    • Students are required to CHECK-OUT with a staff member before they leave the Youth Center.

    • Students are required to participate in an activity from 4:15-5:15pm. There are typically two activity options to choose from in addition to the homework room. Recreational cell phone use is not permitted during activity time.

    • Respectful behavior and appropriate language is expected at all times. In a conflict, students must use respectful language to express themselves and are encouraged to get help from a staff member if necessary. Physical violence is not a solution.
