Phone Scam Alert

Sunday, December 3 2017, a Middleton resident reported receiving a call from
715-449-4748 at
5:33pm. The caller stated he was with the "Middleton and Madison police force doing a drive to make sure the police have the right tools to do their job." He said
he was looking for donations of $130 or $100 and donors will recieve a thank you card.
This is NOT a legitimate call and no one is making calls to raise money for Middleton Police. Police agencies will not ask for money over the phone and if you receive a call like this, we recommend not saying anything and hanging up.
If you believe you have been a victim of this scam, or you have any information about this scam, please call Middleton Police at
608-824-7300 or contact your local law enforcement agency if you received a call outside the City of Middleton.
