DISCONTINUATION OF HARD PLASTICS RECYCLING AT MIDDLETON RECYCLING CENTER

We regret to inform you that recycling of hard plastics is no longer available at the Middleton Recycling Center. The City worked with Pellitteri Waste Systems to recycle hard plastics (#2 and #5), but due to recycling markets, hard plastics are no longer able to be recycled at this time. Hard plastics includes things like toys, laundry baskets, lawn furniture, etc. The City of Middleton recommends reducing the purchase of hard plastics where possible or finding re-use alternatives for those materials.
This change is effective immediately. Curbside cart recycling will not be affected by this change.
