Correct cart placement helps our crews collect safely and keeps roads, sidewalks, and stormwater paths clear during winter weather.

DO place carts:

- In your driveway, or
- At the end of your driveway/terrace, a few feet from the street.
- On a flat, cleared surface, you’ve shoveled out.
- With 2 feet of clearance from snowbanks, mailboxes, vehicles, or other obstacles.
- With the cart handles facing your house.

DO NOT place carts:
- On top of snowbanks.
- In the street.
- On the sidewalk.
- Behind or buried in snow piles.
- Anywhere blocking traffic or pedestrian access.

Even small placement adjustments make a big difference for our plow drivers and collection crews—especially when snow and ice build up quickly.

Thanks for helping keep Middleton safe, accessible, and moving smoothly through winter weather! Stay warm out there.
