Summer construction season is in full swing! Here's your weekly roundup of active and upcoming projects across the
city:
NEW: Lakeview–Stonefield Sidewalk Replacement Project
Crews began this week and are working their way toward Lakeview Blvd. Sidewalks will be intermittently closed during construction. Please follow posted signs and use caution. The project is expected to wrap up by mid-August (weather permitting).
Franklin Avenue Resurfacing (Bristol to Branch)
Base paving is done from Bristol to Park. Underground utility work continues toward Branch and is on track to finish before the Good Neighbor Festival. Expect lane closures and intermittent access restrictions.
Parmenter Street Reconstruction (Century to Greenbriar)
Underground work is nearly complete, and curb/gutter work is progressing. Stormwater pond construction is underway. The whole project runs through mid-October. No through traffic; local access only. No parking zones remain in effect.
Street Surface Program 2025
Work begins August 4 on resurfacing Dianne Dr, Mathews Rd, Spring Hill Ct, Knoll Ct, Spring Hill Dr & Lynn St. Surface treatments will follow later in August. No on-street parking during work hours (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.).
Traffic Signal Upgrades – Allen Blvd & Century Ave
Signal timing has been optimized, but delays may occur, especially at peak hours. Work continues through August 21. Crews may work Saturdays to stay on schedule.
Traffic Signal Upgrades – HWY Q & HWY M
Due to underground conditions, crews will open-trench across all intersection legs to install conduit. Expect single-lane traffic and delays through August 21. Use caution in the area.
High Road Closure (Weekdays Only)
Closed daily through August 15 for utility and detour-related work. Road reopens evenings for full access. Detour signs are posted.
No Parking Zones (Spring Hill, Lynn, Graber, High Rd)
24/7 parking restrictions continue in affected areas to support detour routes for the Parmenter project. Please observe signage and drive cautiously.
