Construction Project(s) Update – July 24

From pavement upgrades to traffic signal improvements, the City of Middleton is making significant progress on multiple infrastructure projects across the community. Here’s a quick overview of what's happening:

Franklin Avenue Resurfacing
Paving is underway between Bristol and Branch Streets and remains on schedule for completion before the Good Neighbor Festival.

Misty Valley Sidewalk Replacement
Crews have completed work in the Misty Valley and Tribeca areas and are now progressing toward Lakeview Boulevard. Completion is anticipated by mid-August, weather permitting.

Traffic Signal Upgrades – Century & Allen, Hwy Q & M
Temporary traffic signals are in place while crews work to install new equipment, reconfigure pedestrian crossings, and enhance overall traffic flow. Please expect delays and watch for updated signal patterns, especially during peak travel times.

Parmenter Street Reconstruction
Concrete curb and gutter installation is complete, primarily, with underground utilities and stormwater pond construction ongoing. The project remains on track for completion in mid-October.

Citywide Pavement Renewal Program (Starting in August)
Street resurfacing is scheduled to begin the week of August 4, followed by surface treatment work later in the month. These improvements will affect multiple neighborhoods citywide, with temporary lane closures and parking restrictions in active work areas.

Additional Traffic Notes
High Road is closed during weekday construction hours through the end of July, but reopens nightly for local access.  Saturday work may occur as needed to maintain project timelines.

What to Expect
Residents and commuters should anticipate temporary lane restrictions, intermittent access delays, and no on-street parking in designated work zones. Your patience and caution help keep crews safe and projects moving forward efficiently.
