City of Middleton Prepares Warming Centers in
Public Buildings for Extreme Cold Temperatures

As extreme cold temperatures move into the area, the City of Middleton is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its residents. Warming centers will be established in key public buildings to provide refuge for those in need.

The following facilities have been designated as warming centers:

  1. City Hall: Location: [7426 Hubbard Street] Normal Business Hours - Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm (except holidays)

Police Department Lobby: Location: [7341 Donna Drive] 24 hours per day

Public Library: Location: [7425 Hubbard Street] Hours of Operation: Regular operating hours as posted

These warming centers will have adequate heating, seating, and essential amenities to offer a safe and warm environment for individuals seeking shelter from the extreme cold. Residents are encouraged to utilize these facilities if they need relief from the harsh weather conditions.

In addition to providing physical comfort, the City of Middleton emphasizes the importance of community support during challenging weather events and urges community members to check on neighbors, especially those who may be more vulnerable to extreme cold, such as the elderly or individuals with health concerns. Together, we can create a resilient and caring community that prioritizes the safety and well-being of all residents.
