Zoning Ordinance Rewrite Project Update

The working draft of the new zoning ordinance along with various informational resources have been posted on the City's project website. 

Planning staff continue to work with the consultant (Vandewalle & Associates) to edit the draft ordinance to address feedback from a workgroup helping guide the project, Plan Commission members, and the city attorney. The goal is to complete a final draft of the ordinance in August 2023, after which the proposed ordinance will be reviewed by various city committees and commissions and be the subject of a public hearing. This fall, there will be ample opportunities for the public to learn about the ordinance and to ask questions and provide comments.
