Sustainable U in Middleton
On December 14 at 6:30 pm, the Sustainability Committee and the Middleton Public Library will co-host the second session of “Sustainable U,” which will focus on salt. Salt is so important for safety on our roads and sidewalks, and we need it in our water softeners. Ultimately, though, it’s harmful to our lakes and streams and the life that depends on them. Tune in to hear about why being “salt-wise” is important, and also what the City of Middleton has done and continues to do to reduce salt use in city operations. You’ll learn how to implement some money-saving and water-protecting strategies in your own home. Register for the Zoom session through this page on the library’s website: https://www.midlibrary.org/EventDetail?ID=20727.
Looking ahead to 2022, Sustainable U will help you “green your routine” on February 8 at 6:30 pm. You’ll learn ways to improve the air quality inside your home and in your neighborhood by going electric with home appliances and yard equipment. You’ll also get helpful tips for becoming one of the many drivers making the switch to electric vehicles. Registration for this Zoom session is also up on the library’s website: https://www.midlibrary.org/EventDetail?ID=20884.
If you miss a session of Sustainable U, you’ll find recordings on the library’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist....
