Request to Amend the General Implementation Plan
Pertaining to 20-acre Parcel Directly East of 6043 Oncken Road

Due to a glitch that affected public access to the meeting, the hearing previously scheduled for the September 14 Middleton Plan Commission meeting was cancelled. As announced to all the attendees who attended that Zoom meeting, the hearing will now be held as follows:

BACKGROUND:   The Wisconsin Foundation Inc. (1818 Parmenter Street, Middleton) has applied to amend the Planned Development District – General Implementation Plan pertaining to the property described below to allow a cemetery and funeral home on this parcel, which the Regulating Plan identifies as being a Neighborhood Civic (NC) lot type. The Master Development Plan for The Community of Bishops Bay (which serves as the GIP for this area) does not list either a cemetery or a funeral home as either a permitted or conditional use of property designated as an NC lot type (zoning district). 

Description of property to be rezoned:  
Lot 1, Certified Survey Map No. 13066, recorded in Vol 83, pp. 295-298 of Certified Surveys in the Office of the Dane County Register of Deeds, located in the SW ¼ of the SW ¼ of Section 29 Township 8 North, Range 9 East.   Parcel Number 255-0809-293-9320-2

During the hearing, all interested persons will have an opportunity to speak or register their opinion. Statements may also be provided to City staff by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the hearing. The Plan Commission may take action following the hearing.
