Date: July 30, 2020
Location: 5300 block of Century Avenue
Incident: MI20009211
On Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 11:49 AM, the Middleton Police Department responded to the report of an attempted abduction of a 12-year-old female from an apartment complex in the 5300 block of Century Avenue. According to the victim, she was outside her apartment playing with her 1-year-old sister when she was approached by an adult male in a black t-shirt and baseball hat wearing a full ski-type mask. This male led her and her sister away from the property on foot. The female was eventually able to get away, with her sister, from this person several blocks away and they are now home safe. The incident is still under investigation by Middleton Detectives.
Anyone who may have been in the 5300 block of Century Avenue, or nearby Highland Way, between 10:30 AM and 11:45 AM today is encouraged to contact the Middleton Police Department if they observed a young female carrying a 1-year old and walking with an adult male. The victim also described an interaction with a person on a bicycle on Highland Way while she was with the suspect. Our Detectives would like to speak to that person.
More details will be released as they become available.
