MEDIA RELEASE

On January 16, 2020 Officers responded to crash on the 7900 block of Airport Rd involving a vehicle that struck a building.  After subsequent investigation it was determined that the driver of the vehicle, Michele Virnig, 64, of Middleton, lost control of her vehicle and drove her vehicle into an occupied business.

During the investigation it was determined that Virnig had consumed alcohol prior to operating her vehicle.  Officers administered field sobriety tests to Virnig and she was ultimately arrested for 1st offense OWI.  Four people were treated and released on scene for minor injuries.  The crash is currently still under investigation.
