Request for Variance from the City of Middleton Zoning Ordinance

The City of Middleton Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing and consider taking action on the following application for variance:

  1. 2157 Middleton Beach Rd, Parcel ID 070812402778:   The owners, Jamie and Matt Flanigan, are requesting a variance from the maximum building height for a detached garage. The applicants are requesting approval to build a 20’0” tall detached garage measuring 34’0” by 22’4” and containing an attic on the second level. (An earlier hearing considered a structure with a lower height.) Section 10.22(4)(g) requires a detached garage on an R1-zoned lot not to exceed a maximum height of 15 ft. The garage and new home meet all other setback and lot coverage requirements.

During the hearing, all interested persons will have an opportunity to speak or register their opinion. Statements may also be provided to City staff by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the hearing. The Zoning Board of Appeals may take action following the hearing.
