With
relatively warm temperatures and rain or melting possible in the next few days,
the City of Middleton Street crew is working to uncover street inlet grates
that have typically had ponding issues with winter runoff. Due to the
large number of inlets and limited equipment and crew time available, it is
unlikely that the Street crew will be able to uncover all of the inlets and
some localized road ponding may result.
Residents
and property managers are encouraged to try removing snow and ice from nearby
storm sewer inlets if possible. Depending on actual pavement temperatures
and rain or mixed precipitation, the Street crew may also need to spread salt
on some roadways.
Problems
with ice or standing water on roadways should be reported to the Public Works
Department at 821-8370.
