Notice Of Public Hearings - Requests For Variances From Zoning Ordinance

Notice Of Public Hearings
Requests For Variances From City Of Middleton Zoning Ordinance

To Whom It May Concern:

The City of Middleton Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., in the Middleton City Hall Council Chambers, 7426 Hubbard Avenue, to hold public hearings and consider taking action on the following applications for variances from the City of Middleton Zoning Ordinance:

  1. 7303 Hubbard Ave:  Eric Gregersen, property owner, requests variances from regulations pertaining to rear and side yard setbacks, for the purpose of constructing a 32’ by 21’ detached, two-car garage. At its closest points, the structure would be set back 21.5’ (23’ to the foundation) from the rear lot line and 1’ (2’ to the foundation) from the west side lot line. This structure would replace an existing, single-car, detached garage that is 8’ from the rear and 2’ from the east lot line. Section 10.24(6) requires a structure on this narrow, R1-zoned lot to have a minimum rear setback of 30’, and Section 136(6) requires a minimum side setback of 6’4”.
  1. 2501 Middleton Beach Rd: Michelle and Jason Bond, property owners, request a variance from the regulation pertaining to building height, for the purpose of constructing a 20.5’ by 25.5’ detached, two-story garage that extends to a height of 22.6’. Section 10.22(g) limits a detached garage on this R1-zoned lot to a height of 15’. The structure complies with all other setbacks and lot coverage standards.

At the meeting, all interested persons will have an opportunity to be heard and action will be considered. Application materials are available for review at Middleton City Hall (7426 Hubbard Avenue, Middleton, WI 53562) during normal business hours (7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday), or on the City’s website at:
