[ARCHIVED] Metropolitan Refuse District (MRD) Compost Site Closes on 11/30/21

The Metropolitan Refuse District (MRD) compost site, 5211 CTH Q, will be closing for the year at the end of November.

  • City residents may drop off brush, branches (up to 6” in diameter), wood chips, sawdust, grass clippings, leaves, and plants.
  • No treated or painted lumber, stumps, logs, sod or other items are accepted at the site.
  • Hours of operation for the MRD compost facility are available on the City’s website.

The facility will reopen in April 2022.
