LEARN MORE ABOUT US

  • Homework Support: Space for students to work independently on homework and to have access to high school tutors and staff members is available on school days from 4-6pm.
    • Homework is an optional choice for YC students. If you would like to require your student to attend the Homework Room or the check-in on homework completion before participating in other YC activities, please contact us
  • Drop-in Sports & Gym Activities: The gym is open every school day from 4-5pm (usually until 6pm) for Youth Center students. Typically, we run an organized game or sport until 4:45pm, followed by open gym time.
  • Mini-Courses: Weekly structured activities that run from 4-4:45pm and allow for longer-term projects and skill-building.
  • Free Choice: From 4:45-6pm on school days, free choice activities include the gym, video games, board games, art, and social time.
  • School Day Mentoring Program: Optional program for students who want to meet 1:1 with a Youth Center staff member weekly during their lunch period. Mentor meetings can focus on whatever areas your student would like additional support such as tutoring, practicing social-emotional skills, talking about the stresses of school, peers, and home, and more!
