We are moving forward with planning our summer programs, but also understand that we will have to be flexible in a time where the COVID-19 situation is evolving.
We may need to cancel, postpone, or modify program offerings based on health orders that are in place at the time of the program. If we cancel the program due to COVID-19, we will refund you.

Creative Drama Auditions
Specific roles will be determined by audition. Auditions will be held on the first day of rehearsal - all who sign up will be cast. Participants must prepare a memorized audition piece from the materials provided online. A final cast list will be determined following the audition. Rehearsals will be held for five weeks, June 21-July 22, with performances July 22-24 (to be determined based on pandemic guidelines at that time). Rehearsals will generally go from 1-4 pm Monday-Thursday. Please note that actors must be at all rehearsals they are called to during the five-week period. However, if an actor is not in the scene being rehearsed s/he should not attend rehearsal that day.
The official rehearsal calendar will be distributed once the show has been cast, but a handout with more detailed information about rehearsal expectations will be available at the Recreation Division Office starting June 1. Audition materials will also be available for download or at the Rec Office June 1. No rehearsals on July 5.
Register By Mail Or In-Person
To register by mail or drop-off, please complete the registration form. We do not accept phone registrations.
Late registration and registration at the program will not be accepted; no exceptions. Registration deadlines are important, so please register by the posted deadlines so staff can properly prepare for the program.

Transfers between classes must be done within a minimum of one week prior to the start of class. After that time, transfers will not be accepted.
Refunds will be made on all classes that are cancelled by the Recreation Division. Full refunds will be honored for any written request made a minimum of one week prior to the start of the class or program. Credit card processing fees are non-refundable. Refunds will not be issued for unattended classes, weather related cancellations, or holiday dates. A $5.00 service charge will be withheld for all refunds, unless the activity is cancelled by the Recreation Division. There will be no refunds issued once the program starts. Participants who miss classes due to illness, vacations, etc. will not be provided the opportunity to make them up.
Due to the increase in concern for concussions in youth sports, there is now a Wisconsin Concussion Law. Our department requires all participants to review the
Concussion Agreement and Information prior to registering for programs. Our participant safety is our number one concern!
We accept Visa and Mastercard online and in-house. All in-house and online credit card payments are charged a non-refundable processing fee. This is charged by the processing company, not Middleton Recreation.
Program Postponements/Inclement Weather
Call our HOTLINE at 608-821-8357, visit the Public Lands, Recreation, and Forestry page, or Facebook to see the status of a program due to inclement weather. Any programs postponed due to inclement weather will not be rescheduled. If MCPASD closes, no programs will be held at the schools.
Middleton Recreation will determine the minimum number of participants needed to hold the program, and reserves the right to cap enrollment when deemed necessary. If the required minimum is not met, the program will be cancelled.
Confirmation of Enrollment
Once you have registered, plan on attending at the listed times and dates. Please feel free to call to verify enrollment and/or ask questions. The Recreation Division will only contact you if the program is full, cancelled, or there are changes.
A child must meet the required program age by the first day of the program. All grade restrictions will be based on the 2020-2021 school year. Age and grade requirements are set to benefit all children and to make instruction easier for the program leader. All participants must register for the correct class or they may be contacted to move classes or lose their spot in the program.
Residents are those that reside within the City of Middleton or within the MCPASD boundaries.
Those who do not live within the 53562 zip code, but reside within the school district boundaries, must contact the Recreation Office prior to registering to manually set-up your account and adjust your residency status. If you do not contact the office prior to registering, the system will charge you as a non-resident and non-resident fees will not be refunded.

Middleton Recreation Division programs and events are often photographed for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included in a Recreation Division photo, please indicate this to the instructor and/or photographer.
Participants must assume full responsibility for injuries while participating.
